What to plan for
Labels to folders
Gmail labels become Outlook folders. Messages with multiple labels are placed in each folder, so we agree on a label strategy first.
Google Docs conversion
Docs, Sheets and Slides are converted to Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Sheets with Apps Script or Google-only functions need a review.
Shared drives to SharePoint
Shared drives map best to SharePoint sites or Teams channels; My Drive moves to each user's OneDrive.
Meet links in calendar
Future calendar invites keep their Google Meet links. Recurring meetings should be recreated as Teams meetings after cutover.

Mail for a 25-user company typically migrates in 2–5 days in the background. Drive-heavy migrations take longer depending on data size. Downtime at cutover is under an hour.
Can Google Drive be migrated to OneDrive?
Yes. My Drive moves to OneDrive and shared drives to SharePoint, with Google-native files converted to Office formats.
Which Microsoft 365 plan should we choose coming from Google Workspace?
Business Basic matches Business Starter for email and web apps. Choose Business Standard if you want desktop Office apps, and Premium for device management.
Is the migration free?
Yes. Migration is included with Microsoft 365 licences purchased through us.
Will our Gmail filters and signatures move?
Filters and signatures don't migrate automatically between platforms. We document them before migration and recreate them as Outlook rules and signatures.
